Kuma Masatsu Shiki translates to Bear Grazing (Scraping) Method. KMS essentially bridges a gap between traditional bodywork and energy work, in a holistic effort to gradually guide your body back into a natural stea of sacred balance. By applying aspects of touch, the adding or removing of energy, or employing the various uses of the crystal tools, we are incrementally moving the body’s systems back into that sacred vibrational alignment, in an intuitive effort to best serve our clients and their unique energetic and physical needs at the moment of treatment.
As is true in all things, balance is imperitive. Each KMS session is unique based on the current needs of the client. In addition to using Usui Reiki techniques, Bear may call into use certain techniques employed by bodyworkers, using a light touch along the surface of the skin, or over the client’s clothing. The addition of the gentle physical touch is intended to allow Bear an additional level of pinpoint focus of the energetic flow. The intention is to balance a light physical pressure with energetic probing. Heavy digging or the application of deeper physical pressure is completely unnecessary, as the bulk of the deeper tissue work in KMS is handled energetically and not physically.
Once he has begun to organize the flow of energy in the client’s body, connecting to the Universal energy stream and flowing reiki energy into the body, Bear also employs a third level of healing, through the use of crystal tools such as a crystal wand or obsidian needle. The naturally higher frequency vibrations of crystal matrices can be used to provide direct stimuli to the body in an effort to help return the body to a more natural vibrational pattern. The crystal wand may be used to scrape or shave the energetic field. It may also be bounced or tapped, in various ways upon the body in order to break up energetic “hot spots.”
